Where Ambition Gets A Schedule

Weekly Chapters and Events

Ambition only goes as far as the next time you show up, and nothing moves until you do. This is how that hapens, one track, one session at a time.

CHAPTER EXPECTATIONS

What Chapters Look Like

Chapters exist to educate and guide members toward the direction that's actually right for their own goals, not a one-size-fits-all path to medicine. We meet weekly, each led by the officer responsible for that track and the Co-Presidents. Most sessions are informational: how to read a research finding, what clinical skills programs actually look for, how to cold email a professor, and the dozens of smaller things nobody teaches you directly. Some chapters bring in guest speakers or partner with other student groups for hands-on basic clinical skills and public health sessions. Others are simply about getting to know each other: casual, lower-pressure sessions built around bonding and community rather than a specific skill.

As the club grows, we also want members themselves to have the chance to lead a chapter, not just attend one. Building a close-knit community means giving people real ownership early, not waiting years to hand off responsibility.

FIRST-YEAR PROGRAMMING

A Lighter Launch, Expanded Once We're Ready

Rather than plan a full year at once, we're starting with a modest fall semester and growing from there. Fall is about forming the club itself, recruiting officers, launching our first chapters, and getting our first workshops and panels off the ground. Spring builds on whatever worked: continuing strong chapters, beginning outreach to local partners, and taking a first attempt at a larger event like a small symposium or panel. Nothing here is locked in months ahead of time. It grows as our membership, leadership, and partnerships do.

  • First chapter sessions and workshops begin
  • Ongoing member and partner outreach

Spring Semester
