THE MEDICAL COMPASS

Your true north in medicine

Ambition needs direction

The Medical Compass is a new independent organization built on one idea: the path to medicine shouldn't be something students have to figure out alone. We connect members directly to research, clinical exposure, mentorship, and community, not by pointing them toward resources, but by walking them there, so no newcomer is left confused or overwhelmed by how much is out there. As we grow, that same effort extends outward, toward the medical partners and causes doing work worth supporting.

Connected to a wider healthcare community, potential we intend to earn one semester at a time.

Two directions

An organization that builds inward and outward

Inward, toward the growth of the pre-medical students we serve. Outward, toward the partners and causes we hope to support over time.

Building the member

  • - Help members find and apply to research at local academic labs
  • - Introductory clinical skills workshops with recruited instructors
  • - Informational connections with residents, physicians, MD/PhD students
  • - Honest records of participation to support future references

Building the partner

  • - Members research and propose local organizations worth partnering with
  • - Outreach for site visits and volunteer opportunities
  • - One international medical or public health partner, once we're stable
  • - Transparent fundraising directed to established partners

4 DIRECTIONS. ONE COMPASS.
